The Parramatta development pipeline is bursting at the seems. After Meriton have almost completed both Altitude Towers on Church Street, they are now jumping east of the Parramatta CBD where they have proposed two towers right on the Parramatta River.
This period of development is unprecedented for Parramatta & will take it to official CBD status very quickly.

The Meriton twin towers proposed for 180 George Street will be very tall. The first tower will stand 55 floors and reach a height of 180m. The second tower will be the tallest scaling 66 levels and reaches a height of 211m.
The towers will feature 91,298sqm of total gross floor area & 74,363sqm of residential space making it the biggest residential development currently proposed in Parramatta. The development will be mainly for residential usage, however, there will also be ground floor retail/commercial space depending on the tenant.
The development will also include 825 car parking spaces which will be located in the current existing underground basement & also in the podium levels of the towers. There are 360 existing car parking spaces so there will be 465 new spaces located in the podium levels of the twin towers.
The project includes a floor to space ration of 11.44:1 and this includes a 15% design excellence which can be achieved by creating an architecturally significant design of the towers.
The project is being developed by Meriton which is Australia’s largest private property developer & are known for fast turnarounds on developments. The architects have not been chosen yet, however, the concept render which was included in this article were provided by Meriton were completed by Crone Partners.
The project has an unknown completion date at this state but it is expected that the development will be finished sometime in the year 2020-2021.
