Parramatta’s Future looks Secure as Sydney’s Second CBD

When you look at Sydney from a map, it little wonder why Parramatta is booming. It is the geographic heart of the Sydney region if you draw a line from Hornsby to Liverpool and from Bondi to Penrith.

It has recently amalgamated increasing its population from 190,000 to over 250,000 expected to be over 400,000 by the year 2036. With a new Parramatta LEP (Locao Environment Plan) in place, it is set to become the next great city with a countless number of skyscrapers in planning or under construction (although here at Build Sydney we will be attempting to count every single one of them) it will have a great skyline by 2025.

The surrounding precinct of Rydlemere will feature as a education precinct, Rosehill and Parramatta stadium as the sporting precincts, Camilia as a high density residential precinct serviced by light rail and Westmead will be the major health precinct not just in Parramatta but within the city, the state, nationally and internationally.

Visit the parramatta local government website http://parracity.nsw.gov.au for the latest information on updates regarding developments within the region.
